Will Dental sealant work on my front teeth?

i have a tiny little brown stain on one of my two front teeth and it really bothers me so much that i could cry but the dentist wont fill it cos its a "good" tooth she says theres nothing she can do about it but i heard about dental sealant and cant she put that on it to cover the brown?
