Either leave a message on his personal facebook wall that you'd like to have him call you and give him your number or at least ask for his number. If you live within walking distance or can get a lift, go to his house and see him personally. Chances are it has occurred to him there may be something there between you, but it's just been to a friend stage as far as school activity goes. Now you two are older and you think there's something more. It can't hurt to explore it, and at worst, you'll still be friends if he says he's not really inclined to pursue you romantically.
