Repairing a rubber speaker surround?

There is a small tear in my sub woofer surround and I am curious if any one has any ideas how to repair it. Of course it can be re-coned... But besides that... Since it is rubber, not foam, I was thinking maybe like a rubber sealant, or some kind of tire patch type thing. Also, does anyone know where I could have it re-coned in the Phoenix Metro area? It is an image dynamics sub, and I was going to call them and have them do it, but they have shut down :( Any input is welcome, thanks!
