Dating question- is it ok to see two different woman at once even though interested in one in particular?

I've being seeing this girl for around 6 weeks now we usually get together once a week, is always good fun. Were both coming out of long term relationships so I'm keen to take it very slow and I would prefer to let her do things like mention a relationship. Any way I reckon she's great but the other week I was drunk and rang her like 5 times (apparently they dont like that) I apologised and have had 2-3 good get togethers since then she actually returned the favour to me last weekend (only once though) so I got to tease her about that which was good. I am trying to be careful not to be clingy so I can keep the attraction and fun going. My friend suggested dating other women as well. I have met one who is interested in getting together this weekend. I think this would be fun but am still very interested in finding out where things are going with the first girl and not to do the wrong thing. My question is, is it better to date a number of women even if your really interested in one in particular. Or best just to focus on one and see where it goes. Thanks for any input.
