I get teased(spanish)..what should i do?

after taking spanish 1this yr (my teacher taught latin american spanish not spain spanish) i fell in love w/ the culture of latin america...and i also love to listen to the music(selena quintanilla, prince royce, belinda, daddy yankee) and they are my ringtones.i also watch univision all the time. but sometimes i get teased for it b/c i am african american(yellow).. what should i do?
