Leak into light switch?

Last Thursday (its now Sunday) water leaked from the shower unstairs and down into the kitchen light switch. The bath sealant needs replacing and this is the cause of the leak. The lights flickered when i turned the light off so i turned the downstairs lights off at the main fuse box. The inside of the socket is now dry - is it safe for me to switch the lights back on?
